Selenite is the transparent colourless crystalline variety of gypsum. It is abundant and can be found all over the world.
Selenite is often related to the moon, having a moon like glow and serving as a beacon of light when in darkness.
Selenite is named after ‘Selene’, a Greek goddess of the moon, thus associating it with lunar cycles and the divine feminine.
In ancient times, it was believed that certain crystals followed the waning and waxing
of the moon and this included Selenite.
Selenite can be used to cleanse and clear yourself, your space and your other crystals.
It dispels negative energy and enhances clarity and focus and instils calm.
Selenite helps to stabilise and balance the emotions and quieten the mind.
These beautiful bangles feature a piece of raw Selenite held securely in a fancy claw setting.
There are two options available:
Option A: Gold Plated
Option B: Silver Plated
This kind of plating is called Galvanoplasty, an electrochemical process that consists of coating a metallic base with gold or silver layers through electrodeposition. This method is done only on the metal bases of the products, before placing the stones, and serves to increase the durability of the article and give a high quality finish.
These bangles have a brass base covered with noble metals (gold or silver), giving them a finishing similar to fine jewellery.
This is the best quality plating on the market, free of cadmium, lead and other heavy metals, using 18k gold in a layer of 10 thousandths or 1000 silver in a layer of 30 thousandths, ensuring excellent durability and great finish. This entire process guarantees a product of high quality and strong resistance.
The bangle in the photograph may not be the exact one you receive as no two natural pieces are the same size or shape. It will however be very similar.
Each bangle is fully adjustable so will fit most wrist sizes.
