About Amazonite
Amazonite is a variety of potassium feldspar, named after the Amazon River, though it is found in many locations around the world including Brazil, Russia, Madagascar, and the USA. Its distinctive blue-green colour comes from trace amounts of lead and water within the stone. Prized for centuries for its beauty and calming energy, it was used by ancient Egyptians and is famously found in the treasures of Tutankhamun.
