Dyed Crackle Clear Quartz Polished Tumblestone

Clear quartz (also known as rock crystal) was believed for centuries by the Greeks to be deeply frozen ice that would never thaw.  It forms naturally in clusters of many crystals of varying size.

Some quartz crystals have the ability to generate electricity when hit and so it is used in many electrical devices aswell as everyday things that we own, such as clocks.

Clear Quartz is considered the master of all healing crystals due to its ability to magnify or amplify healing vibrations of other crystals.

Clear quartz balances all planes.  It will eliminate energy blockages and allow energy to flow smoothly throughout the body, bringing strength and clarity to the intellect, aiding concentration and memory retention.

Crackle quartz is a crystalline quartz that has been intentionally fractured. The quartz is heated up to a high temperature then suddenly quenched in cold water. The shock of the sudden cooling causes a network of tiny fractures to propagate through the quartz.

When dye is added to the quenching water, it enters surface reaching fractures and flow, by capillary action, deep into the quartz. The deep penetration of the dye produces a rich colour in the quartz.

The result is a transparent coloured stone that sparkles when it is moved under bright light. The sparkles are produced as light enters the stone, strikes an internal fracture surface and reflects back to the eye of the observer.

Thus the crystal is natural but the colour is not.
