Handmade in the studio, this howlite bracelet is finished with a pure copper accent bead, the soft white marbling of the stone set against that warm metallic glow. It's a simple, calm-looking piece that goes with everything and asks nothing of you, which is rather the point.

Howlite was discovered in Canada in the mid nineteenth century and named after Henry How, the geologist who found it. It's often mistaken for magnesite, and it's frequently dyed to imitate other crystals, turquoise most of all, but in its natural white state it's powerful enough on its own. It's my go-to crystal, regarded as deeply calming, relieving stress and anxiety, dispelling anger and rage, and clearing mind chatter, and it soothes as much aesthetically as it does physically. It's also considered an excellent stone for meditation and sleep, and as a long-standing insomniac myself I recommend it wholeheartedly to the overthinkers who simply can't switch off at night. It really is a magical stone.
