Polished Fluorite Crystal Gua Sha

Fluorite is a mineral , also known as fluorspar.  The name fluorite comes from the Latin word ‘Fluor’, meaning ‘flow’.

The UK has two famous fluorite deposits in Derbyshire and Weardale in County Durham.

Fluorite is a beautiful crystal that is found in a wide variety of colours from striking blues, greens, pinks and purples, to softer clear and yellow shades. The colours of fluorite are dependant of its surroundings and chemical composition.

Different locations around the world have distinctive varieties that can be found in cubic form, octahedron’s and large chunks.

Fluorite is a stone of protection that grounds and stabilises energy. It cleanses and balances the aura and neutralises and absorbs stress and negative energy.

Fluorite promotes a positive mindset, stimulates the intellect, helps with decision making and concentration and is a great aid for studying and focus.

In Chinese medicine, gua sha is an ancient scraping technique. 

Facial gua sha is a beautifying technique to naturally stimulate blood circulation and lymphatic drainage for tired or congested skin. It can be used for lifting and sculpting, relaxing tight muscles that contribute to fine lines (like brows furrows), and for de-puffing under-eyes and cheeks. 

Directions:

Wash and dry your face prior to using the gua sha.

Moisten the skin with a facial oil.

With gentle pressure, move in upward lifting motions from the center of the face and out towards the hairline.

Stop and lightly press the tool in the hairline in front of and behind the ears to stimulate lymphatic drainage. Also follow the jawline and sides of the neck, where there are more drainage sites.

Do not roll over moles and avoid acne.

Care instructions:

Rinse with mild soap and warm water and lay flat to air dry.  Store in a cool dry place.
